Sorry I haven’t been posting more often, I’m trying to come up with new ideas for you guys! If you want me to write about anything specific, leave me a note in the comments below!

These are a few things I’ve picked up recently. So many things are on SUPER SALE, which I why I had to share it it you!

1- Joe Fresh Haul
OMG I love the sales at Joe at the end of each season. I’ve picked up so many great pieces at ridiculously low prices. I encourage you to check out your local store (or shop online, but beware, everything on clearance is final sale) and look through the sale racks, you’re sure to find some awesome stuff. I picked up the SOFTEST boyfriend plaid shirt (go one size up), the coziest turtleneck (I also sized up on this one) and the cutest après-ski shirt (should have sized up!). I also got a pair of black booties for $29, ridiculous.

2- Drugstore Haul
I am so happy that brands like L’Oreal and Maybelline are making products that can compete with high-end brands. I picked up a few essentials, including the new BB Cushion Foundation from L’Oreal, which, so far, is a great option when I don’t want or need full coverage. This NYX lip primer has been amazing at preventing my lipstick from bleeding (anyone else have this problem?) and I picked up a darker colour of my favourite concealer which I will use to contour!

3-Winners Finds
I have some fun trips planned to warmer destinations, so I was very happy to see that Winners is stocked with great swimwear right now (they also got big shipments of Nike golf clothes, if anyone is interested!). I picked up this great one-piece from BCBG for under $40. Is it just me or are one-pieces making a huge comeback? I’m not complaining!

4- The perfect chambray shirt?
I’ve seen this top on so many people now and I NEED ONE IN MY LIFE. But I really want to find the perfect one, that’s the right length and super soft, and not too wrinkly….Is that too much to ask? These are my top 3 contenders right now, from Old Navy, J.Crew and Nordstrom.

Friday Favourites!

Friday Favourites!

Can we talk about how amazing this week was? It was so nice and hot outside, I even got one last round of golf in! This weekend we are off to the cottage, so it will definitely be a relaxing couple of days.

Here is what I’m loving this week:

1- One of my favourite stores is having an after-hours scarf sale next Thursday from 6-9pm. Their selection of scarves is to.die.for. Details on their Facebook page!

2- NYX Canada now has an online store, this is a game-changer in the beauty department for me. I just love their butter glosses, baked blushes and their highlight and contour palette is the best on the market! Use the promo code WELCOME20 to get 20% off your first purchase!

3- Alfred & Co., my go-to consignment store for designer fashion, is having a flash sale, almost everything in their online store is 20% off until Sunday, just use the promo code FLASH20 at checkout!

4- I’m gonna be on television again next Thursday morning, chatting about old-school trends making a comeback. Tune in at 9:40, CTV Morning Live!

5- Really great reasons to have short hair!

Happy weekend!

Recent Drugstore Purchases

Sorry I was MIA last week, I had a week-long conference that I had been planning for a few months, but that is over now and I’m back to blogging!

Here are a few things I picked up at my local drugstore lately, that I’ve really been loving.

1- Ardell Demi Wispies Lashes
I’m not much of a false lash kinda gal, but these are truly the best, and the most universally flattering on the market. My husband and I are taking a trip this week to celebrate our 5-year anniversary and I want to get glammed up for our nights out, and these lashes will do the trick!

2- NYX Shine Killer Primer
I was in the market for a new primer, since the ones I was buying from Sephora didn’t do much to control shine, which I’ve noticed I have more of now that I’m using more moisturizer in the colder months. This stuff is under $20 and it works great, it’s my new go-to!

3- L’Oreal Telescopic Mascara (Carbon Black)
I really wasn’t sure I would like this mascara because of its weird, flimsy thin wand, but the precision and length you get from this is incredible. Some of my favourite beauty bloggers swear by this stuff, and I totally understand why!

4- Secret Clinical Strength Invisible Solid*
This is not exactly a beauty product, but totally essential to my everyday routine and my last anti-perspirant just wasn’t cutting it. On top of that, I wanted something that was truly invisible and not all over my black clothes.

BOD-InShowerNourishingMilk-1412.ashx5- Nivea In-Shower Body Milk
If you’re like me, you just can’t be bothered to moisturize once you’re done your shower, so this in-shower lotion is just what I need! And it really works! I haven’t had a pinch of dry skin since I started using it! This will be a lifesaver this winter!

Let me know in the comments below which drugstore products you are loving right now!

September Beauty Buys

September Beauty Buys

I think what I love most about all my beauty buys this month is that they all cost less than $25! Here is what I’ve picked up and am loving lately:

1- NYX Butter Glosses
These are definitely my favourite lip glosses right now. So many amazing colours to choose from, the pigmentation is really nice and bold, and they stay on for a good amount of time! They cost less than $10 and you can pick them up at Rexall pharmacies across the city (how exciting that we finally have access to this great brand in Canada!)

2- Urban Decay Eyeshadow (Colour: Toasted)
I have two of the Urban Decay Naked palettes and I adore them, they are by far the best eye shadows on the market. But I don’t always love travelling with them, so I purchased two individual colours that work really well together for both day and night looks. I already owned Sin, but I just picked up Toasted, which is a gorgeous shade and perfect for the crease area.

3 – Sephora Sheet Masks
I finally got around to trying one of these masks, and I was shocked on how great they were (because they are so inexpensive). I could really feel the mask working and my skin looked gorgeous the next morning. I will definitely be picking some more up on my next trip to Sephora!

4 – Make Up For Ever Mist & Fix
I was in the market for a setting spray, and I chose this particular one because it came in a travel size, and I wanted it for an upcoming trip to a HOT destination, where my makeup would just melt-off if I didn’t use a setting spray. So far I love it, I highly recommend it!

5- Brett Brow Arch Control Gel
I was debating between this and the Anastasia brow gel, but this one is a tad less expensive and I find the quality just as good. Now that I’m filling in my brows (with this pencil), I want to make sure they stay put all day, and this does the trick.

Leave me a comment below and tell me which beauty products you’re loving these days!
