Happy Monday! I hope you all had a very relaxing weekend.
I took advantage of the rainy weather and spent a good amount of time shopping! After switching over my closet to fall clothes and being ruthless and getting rid of a TON of stuff, I felt like I needed some new pieces to get me excited about the change in season.
On a side note, I’m thinking of having a “blog garage sale” and selling some clothes/shoes/jewelry to my awesome readers, so stand by for that! I got the idea from a fellow blogger a few years back, when I picked up a pair of Louboutin wedges for an amazing price. (a portion of the proceeds would go to my favourite charity, the Ottawa Humane Society).
Here is what I picked up this week, as well as some items I have ordered and should arrive soon!
My first stop was at Old Navy. I had been a bit underwhelmed by the selection lately but on this trip, I found some great staple pieces so I was really happy about that! These compression leggings are AMAZING, the fit is great, and I’m happy I don’t have to spend $100+ at Lululemon for a very similar product. I picked up a very flattering workout tank at the same time. I also re-ordered this navy skirt that I own but wore so much I had to replace it! I LOVE LOVE LOVE these skirts, highly recommend them. I ordered this pair of boyfriend jeans because they are super soft (I had to size down two sizes, fyi). Finally, I picked up this great casual swing dress (also size down, I got an XS) that I know I’ll wear a lot this fall.
Shopping tip: Old Navy now price-matches its online prices (which are always lower) in their stores. You just have to pull up the item online and show them!
Next, I headed over to Nordstrom and picked up two pairs of shoes. A pair of Nike runners (no longer available, similar above) and these beautiful nude flats (such a good price, I want them in every colour!)
Finally, I checked out the new Marshalls in Ottawa, and there was so much great stuff, but only left with a pair of black lace-up flats. I was very excited to find these, I was about to pay $70 at Aldo for a very similar pair, and these were only $30.
Happy shopping, and stay tuned for details about my wardrobe sale!
