My thoughts on the Nordstrom Ottawa store

My thoughts on the Nordstrom Ottawa store

I’m going to keep this short and sweet, because I truly believe that you need to experience this shopping mecca to fully understand how wonderful it is!  My husband and I (along with 1800 other stylish people) attended the pre-opening gala and it was beautifully executed and such a fun way to see the new store before it opens tomorrow.

There are so many things i LOVE about this store, but the main thing, and why I think it’s so perfect for the Ottawa market, is that there is such a great mix of high-end designer items and more affordable, but still incredibly stylish brands, so it’s absolutely a department store made for every budget.

Speaking of high-end, Ottawa is so lucky to have access to great brands such as Manolo Blahnik, Jimmy Choo, Valentino, Tory Burch (and that’s just in the shoe department!). Upstairs, the Burberry and Diane Von Furstenberg section were breathtaking, and there’s just so many great designers available, something that was definitely lacking in Ottawa, especially since Holt Renfrew closed.

The men’s, kids, and home sections are great, and the beauty and accessories departments will blow you away (I fell in love with their display of Diptyque candles, the ultimate home accessory)!. There’s literally something for everybody. You can spend the afternoon browsing the 2 huge floors, and end your day with a coffee or smoothie at Ebar or a delicious meal and glass of wine at their in-store restaurant, Bazille, featuring an outdoor terrace, which makes me even more anxious for warm weather!

If you’re planning on heading to Nordstrom tomorrow, don’t forget about their beauty bash from 7:30-9:30am, where you can get complimentary beauty consultations and learn all about the new products and trends straight from the experts!

Finally, if you want to see lots of pictures from the opening bash, just search the hashtag #nordstromott on Twitter and Instagram!

Happy shopping!

Miss K
