What I Wore Wednesdays – Valentine’s Day Edition!

What I Wore Wednesdays – Valentine’s Day Edition!

Happy week of love everyone! My husband and I have a great tradition of him cooking us a beautiful meal (usually cocoa-rubbed steak, yum!) and sharing a nice bottle of wine, and this is the outfit I have planned for our romantic night at home.

Fun fact about me: I don’t own or wear anything red. Actually, that’s not entirely true. The only piece of red in my closet is a skirt that I wore the night I met my husband and I’ve kept it for sentimental reasons but I really don’t like wearing red, it doesn’t work with my skin tone so I just avoid it all together and make up for that with a whole lot of pink!

This outfit is extremely girly, colourful and fun, which is perfect for Valentine’s Day! I own this dress in a couple of colours, because the cut is extremely flattering and the thicker fabric allows me to wear it year-round. I paired it with nude heels (the most versatile shoe you can have in your wardrobe), my favourite soft pink purse and lots of rose gold jewelry (all of it from Joe Fresh, the best place to stock up on beautiful affordable accessories, in my opinion!).

Details:

Dress: Old Navy (a couple sizes left online, and maybe in stores), but the same flattering cut here and here)

Shoes: Christian Louboutin, but similar look here and here (for much less $$$)

Purse: Kate Spade (old, but how beautiful is this clutch, also from Kate Spade for under $100!)

Jewelry: Joe Fresh (go to your local store and check out this season’s offerings!)

Happy Shopping!
