Save vs. Splurge : Hair Tools Edition

Save vs. Splurge : Hair Tools Edition

This post was a request from a very good friend, and definitely something that I wanted to share with my readers! I love a good bargain as much as the next girl, but one thing that I have splurged on are my hair tools: my hair dryer, styling iron and curling wand. You can use all the expensive shampoo and styling products you want, but if you don’t have a good hair dryer, it’s all for nothing.

These are the tools I use and will recommend a hundred times over. I have owned my hair dryer and iron for at least 5 years, and neither have broken or stopped working fabulously. And the curling wand has changed my life, because nothing I did in the past gave me the same results as this genius little invention. Sultra’s website has great tutorials to get you started.

I mentioned this in a previous post, but Winners and Marshalls ALWAYS get T3 products in, so you can scoop these babies up for a great price (they might be older models but they are all amazing!)

Now, all that being said, there are some great lower-priced options out there. I depend on Allure’s beauty awards for most of my new product purchases, and they have never let me down. So these are their recommendations, and I’d love to know if you have and love any of these products, or what you would recommend to someone looking for a new hair tool!

In terms of what to look for in a new styling tool, all the technical mumbo-jumbo is too much for me, so I rely on reviews and product testers and find people who have similar hair to mine and see what they think. So I hope that my reviews and recommendations help you pick the right product for your needs!

Happy shopping!
