It’s no secret that Winners is one of my all-time favourite stores in the city. I love the thrill of the hunt and finding a great piece for a fraction of the regular price. I’m a sucker for designer goods, but when it’s at a discount price, it’s even more exciting!
I went to the new Lansdowne location in the Glebe today and spotted some items that I thought would make some great Christmas gifts for the fashionista on your list. I also included a couple of pieces that would make great holiday outfits. I can’t guarantee they will be there very long, so try and make a trip there this week if you see something you like!
1. Kate Spade
I think this location is favoured to get most of the higher end shipments, and they got the Most Kate Spade stuff for sure. They have a beautiful colour-blocked handbag ($229) and I think the small cosmetic pouches are a great value ($39 and $59).
You might want to keep this purchase for yourself! I’ve had this hairdryer for….honestly I can’t even remember when I bought it, I’ve had it for that long. I think it’s the best hairdryer on the market. It retails for over $200 and with a price tag of $130 at Winners, it’s an amazing deal.
At $29 for the women’s slippers and $34 for the men’s, I can’t say that this is the best deal compared to the regular price, but these are very comfortable slippers, and Winners seems to be one of the only places that sells them in Ottawa, so it’s worth picking up a pair for someone on your list. If they are anything like me, they will live in these slippers!
4. Designer iPhone Cases
This is the perfect stocking stuffer for pretty much anyone on your list. All these items are under $20 (I am loving the Kate Spade earphones!), and it’s a great way to add a little luxury in your life without breaking the bank!
I am loving these American Retro skirts for holiday outfits. Pair them with a flowy black top, sheer black tights and short booties, and you’ll all set! The fabrics make them very festive and the cut is very flattering for many body types. They are priced at $70, which is amazing considering they are valued at over $200 (and you can’t find that brand anywhere in the city).
